Again RajKumar Hirani’s unconventional way of making movies worked.Doing something different from league is his success mantra. 3 idiots has been considered sequel of Munna bhai series as it again gave a social message with 100% entertainment. His films do not only portray our daily life but try to present something that is missing in ourselves like harmony , gratitude ,affection ,love. Like “jaadu ki zaapi’ in munna bhai mbbs could heal somebody’s pain and was token of gratitude. And Gandhiji’s message -‘non-violence is most powerful tool against all evil powers’ that we could not get through our literature and history books made an impact on us through lage raho.

Now 3 idiots confronted the education system in India –the pressure it impose on students overlooking the innovative and creative ideas for grades ; and marks and other sub- standard and malpractices. Rightly said by Baba Ranchorddas that ‘Chase excellence rather than success ,success jhak marke tumahre peeche aayegi’.Movie showed that we should choose the field as career prospective which we are passionate about and that lead to self satisfaction , wealth and career development. Instead of unnecessary desire of social status ; child’s wishes and field of interest must be paramount to parents.

This movie had all elements – drama , comedy( not an imposed but a situational one), and romance : and each scene was a memorable moment. Outstanding contribution from supporting cast .This film acknowledges some inventions like – cycle driven horse hair clipper , scooter driven flour machine etc that could not be presented at national or international level due to lack of investment and corrupted bureaucrats. Beside thumbs up from critics it was a biggest commercial hit with collection of Rs 375 crore not in India but overseas too.But not to forget it is inspired from best seller ‘Five Point Someone ‘ by Chetan Bhagat.There had been credit row between Chetan and film makers but I think Chetan must be acknowledged as one of main writer as theme (exacerbated education system in India ) and presentation was much similar to novel. ……………… contd
