Austerity or Tokenism ?

Dictionary meaning of austerity is 'self disciplined'.So how it can be imposed on somebody that congress trying to do.Firstly they asked external affairs minister SM Krishna and Shashi Throor(MoS) to check out from five star hotels besides they were not using taxpayer's money for accomodation. They compelled all its leaders to be austere and curb there conspicious expenses and HRD minister wants university to be part of this drive.Recently corporate minister Salman Khurshdie wants CEO to regulate vulguraity income. If politcians wants to live simply they can but why they are compelling others ?It is something that comes from inside it cannot be taught or imposed.Besides that why do we need a wake up call or some catastrophe to happen to take such noble action.Like if it is recession or deluge hit parts of state then our politicians soul wake up to being austere and they started travelling in economic class or by cheap transport.I think just tokenism or a gimmick to project themselves as responsible and eminent leaders in election time.As congress claim that it is govt of aam admi so they should stop being hypocrite and should ake effective steps of cost cutting like scrapping their lalbattis ,Lutein accommodations and delux facilities and reduce security personnel. Common man is austere enough and cutting the cost thats why he can earn bread for family in such inflation and trumoil time.If we see other way around if common man become part of govt,s this drive then it will affect hotel and tourism industry. It is on our politician part to regulate their expenses and do not use taxpayers' money for self comfort and providing perk to their family. They should understand their social responsibilites and do not create hype or propaganda of being austere on media to take political milage and should geniuenly live ordinary life and don't wast public money.Beside this ,their these politcs stunt and travelling in cattle class creates problem for us.
