India's Defeat in T20 2009

so T20 world champions 07 could not defend heir title. They were just able to beat minnows Ireland and Bangladesh.So what is the reason ?Is fatigue arouse due to IPL games but that was played by all cricketers around the world , they did n't perform as we performed like SA ,most of thier players played IPL and they made to semis in WC so fatigue is not the excuse.So who is responsible for such drastic collapse.The problem is defensive approach instead of attacking and aggressive which is paramount requirement of this foemat of cricket.

I think India has been defensive for a long time but as we were on winning track it didn't come to picture.Do you remember last test with NZ in New Zealand ,due to dhoni's late decision to declare 2nd innings deprived us to celebrate our 100th test victory.There are various instances but as i mentioned we had been winning so not noticed.

So is man with midas touch or lucky mascot of indian cricket - Dhoni is loosing his magic?

T 20 format is not about premediated strtergies and defensive approach .It is all about instantaneous stratergy and a lot of improvisation.

In WC 07 ,Dhoni went with Rp singh in 19th over to contain and have wickets (and Rp also proved his captain's decision correct and last over pressure transfered to opposition and then he went with inexperienced joginder singh for last one.That Dhoni with a bit of gambling was aggeresive but defensive approach knocked out us of WC 09.

He send inexperienced Jadeja up the order instead of Yuvraj (who is in excellant form) .Short pitch bowling has been area of concern for indian cricketers for long time like shewag and ganguly Dhoni himself made 11 on 23 balls in W. indies game which is shameful individual total in T20 game .Dhoni is known for his big hits but this score does not go by his style which also not appropiate for a middle order batsman as middle order batsman is just to pace up the innings or his approach towards game is only for his individual score.Short pitch bowling has been area of concern for indian batsmen for long time.

I want to mention being superstition that after jadeja in playing 11 ,indai could not win a single international game till T20,so is a bit unlucky for us or dimnishing Dhoni's midas.That is my perspective plz don't take it another way.
So Dhoni has to comeback with bit aggersive and improvisation as T20 is all about this.Atleast we should fight and if we defeat that will be less anoying rather than just succumb to weakness like facing short pitch...
